Pro 4 Dog Grooming

Pro 4 Dog Grooming is a dedicated dog grooming business based in Southampton, established in 2008 by owner Trudy. Originally known as 'Trudy's Grooming', the business was rebranded in 2011 to reflect its growth and commitment to quality. Trudy’s background in animal rescue and fostering, alongside her lifelong passion for dogs, informs her approach, which focuses on building trust and ensuring the comfort of every canine client. The salon provides a clean and friendly environment where Trudy offers a range of grooming packages tailored to individual needs, from a wash and dry to a full groom.

The services at Pro 4 Dog Grooming are comprehensive, covering everything from a bath and dry to a full groom that includes clipping, shaping, nail trimming, ear plucking, and anal gland expression. The business is particularly noted for its work with dogs of all temperaments, including those that are nervous or anxious. Trudy’s patience and gentle approach have made her a trusted choice for rescue dogs and pets with a history of negative experiences elsewhere. The salon also offers competitive rates and flexible appointment scheduling to suit the needs of both the dog and the owner.

Customer reviews consistently highlight Trudy’s exceptional care and the calming environment she creates. Many clients praise her ability to build trust with dogs, especially those who are nervous or have had bad experiences with other groomers. Reviewers frequently mention that their dogs come out looking and smelling wonderful, with wagging tails and a happy demeanor. Trudy’s dedication to putting the dog’s best interests first, even with elderly pets, has earned her a loyal following over the years.

Beyond her grooming expertise, Trudy is deeply involved in animal welfare, having fostered dogs and run her own dog rescue since 2016. This commitment to animal rescue is a key part of the business’s ethos, and clients appreciate the genuine care and compassion that Trudy brings to every appointment. Her extensive experience and knowledge of dog coats and health further set Pro 4 Dog Grooming apart as a trusted local service.
